Buddy Love - Sheila And Other Delights - Special Not Lame
exclusive release... Doug Khazzam who was the leader of Buddy Love has pressed up special
copies of this CD for Not Lamers only. The CD is the original 12" LP plus 11 bonus
trax. Released in 1982, this is mighty fine Class of 1979 power pop w/high pitched (but
not irritating), slick (but not sterile) The Rubinoos, The Flashcubes and Marshall
Crenshaw and lots of early Romantics, Bomp 7" singles circa 1978. In other words, the
fluffy side of rockabilly influenced power pop. Buddy Holly-ish rave ups, and exuberance
and pop joy rarely heard these days...let's face it, they just don't make pop like this
anymore-and that's a shame. A must for fans of this style of pop, no doubt!! $12
